Niccolo was born and raised in Milan, Italy, but started globe-trotting around Europe since a very young age, moving to Australia at 18. After Australia, he settled in Valais, Switzerland where he attended the prestigious Les Roches International School of Hotel Management and graduated with a BBA in Global Hospitality Management.
Upon graduation, he had the opportunity of working in some of the finest hotels and restaurants in the world, from Switzerland to Malaysia, passing through England, where he was able to work for one the oldest 3-michelin star restaurant in the country.
After Europe, he relocated to New York City, where he took over the position of Food and Beverage Manager & Wine Director for Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s modern European bistro “The National Bar and Dining Room”. Under his guidance, he was able to obtain a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence within his first year.
Beginning of 2022, he took on a new position and challenge for Ethica Wines, one of the leading importers of fine Italian wines in the U.S. He relocated to Texas and was in charge of the whole state for what concerned the Ethica Portfolio, partnering with one of the top distributor in the state, he was able to set an important presence in the market and make valuable connections with some of Texas premiere buyers.
Nick is Certified Sommelier and Certified Sake Sommelier.
End of 2023, the decision to jump in an entrepreneurial role, hence founding WHC (Wine Hunters Consulting).
He currently resides in Houston, Texas and serves as C.E.O since 2023.
